Thermostatic Valve in Adapter, Replace

Remove retaining ring (arrow).

Press cover of thermostatic valve carefully out of valve borehole.

Beware of escaping oil.

Pull spring and thermostatic valve out of valve borehole.

Clean parts, check for damage and replace if necessary.

Installation is in the reverse order.

     Note:    Ensure correct installation of spring.

Check engine oil level and top up to "MAX" marking on dipstick if necessary.
