Seal Ring, Front, in Camshaft Housing, Replace
Remove toothed belt.
See corresponding operation.
Remove ignition lead cover and detach all spark plug sockets.
Detach hose connections (arrows).
Remove cylinder head cover from cylinder head.
Remove both camshaft gears.
Counterhold at the hexagonal part of the camshaft using an open ended spanner.
Make a hole in the centre of the shaft seal ring using a suitable pointed drift.
Screw in self-tapping screw and lever shaft seal ring out of seating using pincers.
Insert shaft seal ring into casing up to stop using Installer KM-422.
For this, use bolt and washer from camshaft gear.
Fit both camshaft gears.
Valve timing marking points forwards.
Pin (A) of the camshaft catches in the borehole of the camshaft gear.
Bolt camshaft gear onto camshaft.
Counterhold at hexagonal part of camshaft using open ended spanner.
Prescribed torque: 50 Nm (36.9 lbf. ft.) + 60° to 75°
Fit cylinder head cover and tighten bolts.
Tighten hose connections at cylinder head cover.
Attach spark plug sockets.
Fit ignition lead cover.
Install toothed belt.
