Alternator, Remove and Install

Disconnect ground strap from battery. Pull multiple plug out of slip ring end shield. Detach alternator from tensioning bar and lower mounting. Remove alternator.

Install alternator. Tighten upper and lower mountings finger tight only. Fasten all cables.

Mount and tension V-belt. Tighten upper and lower mountings.

Note ground strap mounting (arrow, left).

Connect ground strap to battery.
