Octane
Number Plug, Code
On
vehicles fitted with a coding plug there is the possibility of adapting the
engine to two different fuel qualities (98/95 RON or 95/91 RON).
The
coding plug is located in the engine compartment near the right spring strut
dome.
Adapting
to Alternative Fuel Quality
Open
closing catch on coding plug.
Remove
coding plug, turn 180°, plug in and make sure it snaps into place.
The
adjusted octane number appears in window of closing catch.
Note:
Engine
damage can occur if fuels with lower octane number, e.g. RON 91, are used
with incorrect coding, e.g. RON 95.
