Injector, Clean (16 DA, 17 D)
Remove
fuel filter with bracket.
Disconnect
fuel supply lines from pump and injectors
Disconnect
fuel return lines from injector holders and unscrew injector holders with
spanner.
To
disassemble injectors, mount injector between soft jaws in vice.
Clean
injector and needle and all other parts with clean diesel fuel.
Check
Injector needle for damaged or rough seat and for worn or damaged pintle.
Remove soot from injector using wooden spatula.
Important!
Do
not clean injector or needles with metal objects or emery cloth.
Always
clean injectors separately to avoid confusing needles and injectors.
