Note: Via O2 BLM PART THR., learned multiplicative deviations from the ideal mixture condition (e.g by alterations in the density of the air, alterations in the density and quality of the fuel, injection valve errors, etc.) are captured by the control unit and stored in the permanent memory. The learning process takes place only if the oxygen regulation is active and the engine is operating normally. The multiplicative correction factor operates in the whole characteristic curve range, but dominates mainly in the central to high engine speed ranges. With O2 BLM PART THR., an evaluation of the learned values of the system can be made. To evaluate O2 BLM PART THR., the O2 INTEGRATOR must also be consulted. If O2 BLM PART THR. continues to display a marginal value (no value change over a considerable period of time), O2 INTEGRATOR must be observed. If this also lies outside the tolerance range, a statement can be made about the mixture condition of the engine.
Trouble-shooting: Nominal Value: Cause of Fault: (If nominal value is not attained)
If · O2 BLM PART THR. < 112 steps 112 to 144 steps · See test step 30 and System gets leaner, mixture too rich · O2 INTEGRATOR < 108 steps
· O2 BLM PART THR. > 144 steps 112 to 144 steps · See test step 30 and System gets richer, mixture too lean · O2 INTEGRATOR > 148 steps
