On vehicles with AT the engine torque is reduced during shifting via the pre-ignition. If trouble code 75 is stored and the actual value display does not correspond with the nominal values on vehicles with AT, then the transmission does not shift automatically any more but must be shifted by hand. In driving stage "D", the transmission remains in 4th gear only. Before disconnecting the transmission control unit make sure that trouble codes were read out and noted.
Trouble-shooting: Nominal Value: Cause of Fault: (If nominal value is not attained) Ignition OFF · Disconnect transmission · Interruption in cable from Motronic control control unit from wiring harness unit Ter. 51 to transmission control unit Ter. 13
· Measure voltage at transmission · Short circuit against ground in cable control unit plug Ter. 13 from Motronic control unit Ter. 51 to using multimeter transmission control unit Ter. 13 · Motronic control unit defective Ignition ON > 4.9 V
· Place Ter. 13 on transmission control Trouble code 75 · Motronic control unit defective unit plug against ground.
