Note:
The lead to Ter. 41 on the control unit is present on all vehicles, but on vehicles without air conditioning it is unoccupied in the wiring harness.

Vehicles without AC
· Remove control unit plug 0 V · Short circuit against voltage cable cover. in cable to Ter. 41 Measure voltage at Ter. 41 using multimeter
Vehicles with AC
· Remove control unit plug · Short circuit to ground in cable Ter. 41 cable cover. Check voltage at to AC switch control unit Ter. 41 using multimeter · Interruption in cable Ter. 41 to AC switch - AC OFF 0 V - AC ON 12 V · Control unit defective
