Connect multimeter to both

terminals                                                                                                                              · Short circuit to ground in cable from control

unit Ter. 4 to idle speed adjuster

Ignition ON

· Measure inner resistance of                             8 to 10 W                                               · Idle speed adjuster defective

idle speed adjuster using multimeter

If nominal values are attained          · Idle speed adjuster mechanically defective
