Injection Valves, Replace
Note:
Beware of escaping fuel. Observe safety regulations.
Remove pre-volume chamber.
See corresponding operation.
Remove both fuel lines (arrows) from fuel distribution pipe.
Remove crankcase vent hose (1) from cylinder head cover.
Remove crankcase vent hose (2) completely.
Detach vacuum hose (3) from fuel pressure regulator. Disconnect multiplug from air mass meter (4) and from throttle valve switch (5).
Remove throttle valve control bowden cable holder and put to one side.
Raise cable duct and disconnect multiplug from the injection valves.
To do this, compress wire clips (arrows) on pull-off fuse.
Unscrew retaining bolts (arrows).
Pull fuel distributor pipe complete with injection valves out of seating in intake manifold.
Remove retaining clips using a screwdriver and pull injection valve out of seating in fuel distributor pipe.
Install in reverse order.
Use new seal rings.
Ensure correct position of hoses and cables.
