INDIVIDUAL E-COMPONENTS, REMOVE AND INSTALL OR REPLACE

Pre-volume Chamber, Remove and Install

Loosen hose clamps and remove hose (1) from the pre-volume chamber.

Loosen hose clamp (2) on air mass meter.

Unscrew 5 Phillips screws (3).

Remove pre-volume chamber from throttle valve body.

Install in reverse order.

Note:

Ensure correct seating of seal ring (arrow).

Note:

On vehicles up to MY April 1989 the gasket must be placed in the prevolume chamber gasket guide with 4 to 6 cement fixing points - 09 293 725 / 15 04 851. The fixing is not permanent. It must be repeated after each removal.
