General Instructions/Safety Precautions

When using Diagnostic Switch KM-640 only stored Trouble Codes can be read out.

This takes place with the help of the engine telltale in the instrument panel of the vehicle.

Readout of data using TECH 1 takes place with IGNITION ON or with the engine operating.

During correspondence between TECH 1 and the mixture system control unit, the appropriate telltale flickers dully. This indicates an exchange of data between TECH 1 and the control unit.

To erase Trouble Code: With TECH 1: press key F4 Without TECH 1: ignition off and disconnect ground from battery for at least 1 minute.
