16 SH, 18 E, S 16 SH, S 18 E, C 18 NE and C 18 NT engines

Remove distributor cap.

Remove distributor rotor and condensation barrier.

Adjust cylinder 1 to ignition timing.

Notch of pulley aligns with pointer.

Groove in distributor shaft points to mark on distributor housing. Unscrew hex nuts and remove distributor.

Attention

Before installing distributor, ensure that piston of Cylinder 1 is at TDC.

Driving groove in camshaft is positioned eccentrically.

Insert distributor. Tighten hex nuts by hand. Attach cable and vacuum hose.

Insert condensation barrier and distributor rotor.

Install distributor cap.

Adjust ignition timing.

Tighten hex nuts.

Important

Ensure that protective tubes on ignition cables for Cylinders 1, 2 and 3 are seated properly and that ignition cables are not rubbing on top end of tubes.
