Cover cap, condenser plug on
ignition coil.

All with Bosch ignition
system.
As of Model Year 1989 a new
ignition coil will be used in Bosch ignition systems.
On this ignition coil there
is an additional inspection connection Ter. 1 and Ter. 15 mounted for
inspection purposes (speed and dwell angle measurement with Opel Tester). As
a result, the intermediate adaption which has been practised up till now, is
superfluous.
The inspection connection
shown on the right side of the illustration is protected by a cover cap
(blind plug) or condenser plug. It is to be ensured that this inspection
connection is always to be closed with the cover cap or condenser plug
(danger of rust, interference) after the respective inspection.
