Using TDC Sensor Measuring Device (only OHC engines)

 

Two contact pins are located on crankshaft and a brass sleeve in engine block.

Sleeve is for mounting TDC sensor. Using this device in conjunction with an ignition tester, it is possible to measure engine speed, dwell angle and ignition angle.

The three measurement values are displayed digitally at the same time.

Connect ignition tester.

Insert SENSOR up to stop in sleeve in engine block.

 

Illus. A 7915 shows sensor sleeve on 12 SC, 13 N and 13 SC OHC engines.

Connect device to battery positive and negative terminals.

Connect trigger pincers to high tension cable of Cylinder 1: make connection to Terminal 1.

Measure engine speed and ignition angle.
