Dwell Angle, Check and Adjust

12 SC engines.

Connect dwell angle measuring device according to manufacturer's instructions.

Check dwell angle and set at engine cranking speed.

Install distributor cap. Run engine at 1 000 min-¹ (rpm): read measured value and compare with test value.

See Technical Data for test value. Temporarily raise engine speed.

Test value should change only slightly.

If test values are not attained, slightly loosen clamp screw on breaker points: adjust on cam (arrow) using a screwdriver.
