Flywheel, Remove and Install

12 ST, 13 N, 13 S, 13 SC, 16 N, 16 SH, 18 E, C 18 NT and C 18 NE engines only.

Remove clutch with clutch pressure bearing and guide sleeve.

See corresponding operation in Group K.

Mark position of flywheel to aid installation.

Unbolt flywheel.

To do this, block flywheel with Locking Device KM-517.

Since bolt heads for fastening flywheel are only 4 mm/0.16 in.

high, a better grip can be obtained by grinding off roundings on socket (arrow).

When installing flywheel, coat bolts with Locking Compound Catalogue No. 15 10 175 (90 017 319) - observe prescribed torque.

Install guide sleeve and clutch pressure bearing. Install clutch.
