Seal Ring between Thermostat Housing and Cylinder Head,Replace

12 ST, 13 N, 13 S, 13 SC, 16 N, 16 SH, 18 E, C 18 NT and C 18 NE engines only.

Loosen alternator mounting and remove V-belt. Position piston of cylinder 1 at ignition timing. Unscrew toothed belt covering.

Loosen water pump, release tension of toothed belt and remove.

Unscrew rear end panel of toothed belt covering.

Remove radiator hose and feed hose from expansion tank and from intake manifold pre-heater hose and heater hose on thermostat housing.

Unscrew thermostat housing from cylinder head.

Remove defective seal ring and insert new one.

Install thermostat housing and reconnect hoses.

Install rear panel of toothed belt covering, position toothed belt and tension.

Mount V-belt.

Fill cooling system at expansion tank up to "KALT" mark.
