Connecting
Rod Bearing, Replace
Remove
oil pan.
See
operation "Oil Pan Gasket, Replace".
Unbolt
connecting rod bearing caps from pistons at - BDC 2 and 3 or 1 and 4. Clean
connecting rod bearing journal.
Thickly
coat both halves of new bearing shells with oil and insert in connecting rod
bearing cap and in connecting rod.
Mount
bearing cap.
Tighten
connecting rod bearing bolts.
Observe
prescribed torque. See Table at end of this group.
Install
oil pan.
