· The fault is recognized
if the coding logic of the selector lever position switch is not a valid
combination
If trouble
code 56 was recognized, shifting can still be made manually (emergency
program) to the following gears at the individual driving speeds:

Transmission AF 14/20:
"Driving
stage" (gear): "D" (4), "3" (3), "2" (3),
"1" (1)
Automatic
Transmission AF 13/22:
"Driving
stage" (gear): "D" (4), "3" (4), "2" (3),
"1" (1)
