Automatic Transmission as of Model Year '90

·  The fault is recognized when the ignition is switched ON and the engine is running

     (short circuit in pressure regulator circuit)

Note:

Trouble code 42 is also stored if a malfunction of

the alternator affects the AT control unit.

If trouble code 42 was recognized, the following gears are still shifted in the following driving stages

(emergency program):

Automatic Transmission AF 14 / 20:

"Driving stage" (gear): "D" (4), "3" (3), "2" (3), "1" (1)

Automatic Transmission AF 13 / 22:

"Driving stage" (gear): "D" (4), "3" (4), "2" (3), "1" (1)
