Kickdown Cable, Replace

Unscrew air cleaner.

Release kickdown cable at adjustment mechanism "A" by withdrawing the pin, after first removing the spring clip.

Unscrew sleeve for kickdown cable on transmission and detach cable by pulling up sleeve.

Detach kickdown cable at ball end.

Remove adjustment mechanism by pressing lugs down and out of retainer and remove kickdown cable.

Attach kickdown cable to transmission and secure sleeve for kickdown cable to transmission - torque 10 Nm/7.38 lbf. ft.

Push adjustment mechanism into retainer - lugs must catch.

Attach kickdown cable to ball end.

Note:    Check adjustment of kickdown cable and correct if necessary - see operation "Kickdown Cable, Adjust" in this group.

Install air cleaner.
