Axle Shaft Seal Ring in Main Case, Replace

Remove right front wheel.

Raise vehicle.

Remove axle shaft from transmission - see operation "Transmission, Remove" in this group.

Pull out spring strut with axle shaft far enough for axle shaft to pass fluid filter.

Note:    Fasten spring strut and axle shaft in place.

              Do not stretch brake line unnecessarily.

Remove dust protection ring.

Drive out axle shaft seal ring with Special Tool KM-J-26941 in conjunction with KM-483 and KM-313.

Drive in new seal ring with Special Tool KM-J-26938 in conjunction with KM-J-80092.

Insert dust protection ring.

Install axle shaft on transmission.

Lower vehicle.

Install right front wheel.
