Fluid Filter and/or Gasket, Replace

Raise vehicle.

Unscrew fluid pan (16 screws).

Note:    Only loosen screws "A".

              Place suitable receptacle under pan to collect fluid.

Tilt fluid pan so that fluid can flow out over edge "B".

Remove remaining 2 screws.

Remove fluid pan with gasket. Gasket must not be reused.

Loosen screw on retainer (1) and remove fluid filter with gasket (stuck on).

Install fluid filter with gasket and tighten retainer (1) torque 24 Nm/17.7 lbf. ft.

Install fluid pan with new gasket and secure with 16 screws torque 11 Nm/8.11 lbf. ft.

Lower vehicle.
