End Shield, Bearing Rings in End Shield - 4- and 5-Speed Manual Transmission

F 10 and F 13 Manual Transmission

If roller bushing supporting main shaft was removed beforehand, drive new bushing flush into main case using KM-454-3 and -4.

       To do this, differential must be removed.

If needle sleeve supporting turbine shaft was removed beforehand, drive new sleeve flush into main case using KM-454-2 and -4.

       Surface of sleeve with lettering faces transmission.

Bolt clutch thrust bearing guide to main case - observe prescribed torque.

Install clutch thrust bearing, clutch fork and clutch release lever.

       Thinly coat sliding surface of guide sleeve for clutch thrust bearing with Molybdenum Disulfide Paste 19 48 524 (90 001 825).

F 16 and F 20 Manual Transmission

       If bushing supporting main shaft was removed beforehand, press new bushing into main case up to stop using KM-523-1 and -4 (for F 20/5 use the back of KM-523-4) (do not drive in).

If needle sleeve supporting transmission shaft was removed beforehand, drive new sleeve in flush with main case using KM-523-1 and -2.

       Surface of sleeve with lettering faces transmission.

Bolt clutch thrust bearing guide to main case - observe prescribed torque.

Install clutch thrust bearing, clutch fork and clutch thrust lever.

       Thinly coat sliding surface of guide sleeve for clutch thrust bearing with Molybdenum Disulfide Paste 19 48 524 (90 001 825).
