Mount transmission on transmission stand using Transmission Holding Fixture KM-444-2 in conjunction with Fixture Base KM-489.

Important:

The transmission identification code (transmission number) can be seen from the stamped number combination on the end shield at point A or B (illus. B 7870 shows F 10, and F 13, illus. B 2538 shows F 16).

Example:

      A 11 23 1 W 394...

A       = Factory (not present in F 16) 112= Day of year

3        = Last digit of year

1        = Shift,  1 = Early shift  2 = Late shift

W      = Transmission code 394= Drive ratio (e.g. 3.94)

...       = Space for figures and/or letters for special uses (e.g. large scale production trial, etc.)
