Following in-depth
investigations of transmissions at our Warranty Material Return Centre
results have indicated a high percentage of returned new units - both
Original Equipment and Exchange - with the reason for return being described
as "Unable to select gear".
If the above condition is
experienced, remove turret and ensure the reverse gear selector rod is in the
rear -most position. Replace turret and align linkage as per Service
Instructions.
Appropriate action is being
taken with our suppliers to eliminate this situation.
Any further transmissions
returned with the above condition and the selector rod positioned incorrectly
will result in the unit being returned with appropriate debit.
