V-Belt
for Fluid Pump, Replace
Remove
Release
tension of V-belt.
Loosen two bolts (A) for both fluid pump brackets at
main bracket.
Loosen
bolt (B) for tensioning screw on fluid pump and bolt (C) for tensioner on
main bracket.

Loosen nut and lock nut of tensioning screw.
Remove
and replace V-belt.
Note:
On vehicles with 16 SV or C 16 LZ engine (as of
March 1987) the ribbed V-belt runs additionally via the alternator.
To
release the belt, tensioning screw and both alternator retainer bracket
screws must be loosened.

Install
Position and tension new
V-belt.
Check V-belt tension using
KM-128-A.

for new and run-in V-belts.
Tighten all bolts previously
loosened (A, B and C - illus. B 9619) - observe prescribed torque.
Retighten V-belt if necessary.
Note:
On vehicles with 16 SV or C 16 LZ engine, tension ribbed
V-belt using torque wrench in conjunction with KM-612.
