Steering Wheel and/or Slip Ring, Replace
(see "Steering Column Assembly, Disassemble and Reassemble" for additional details).
Remove (unclip) cover cap with horn button from steering wheel.
Position steering straight ahead.
Pull steering wheel off of steering spindle using KM-210-A. Do not knock steering wheel off or on!
If required, unclip contact ring from steering wheel hub and replace with new one. In the installation position, the turn signal return segment of the contact ring points to the left.
Lubricate contact surface of contact finger to contact plate with Kontaktfix.
Fasten and secure steering wheel - observe prescribed torque. Use new lock plate.
Check straight ahead position of steering (see operation "Steering, Position Straight Ahead" in this group).
