Board
Computer System, Check
All
operations on the board computer system must be carried out with the utmost
care and conscientiousness. Before carrying out tests on the computer sensor
elements and before assembly operations, the individual functions should be
checked with the vehicle stationary. This check will reveal whether the
computer has been incorrectly operated or if there is a fault in the board
computer or one of the sensors.
Function
Check with Ignition OFF:
1. Only the time is displayed.
No
other function can be set.

Check with Ignition ON but Engine
Not
Running
1. If no other function is selected, the time is
still displayed unless the range is < 50 km/30 miles. In this case, the
range is automatically displayed and the figures flash.
2. Set clock - see corresponding instructions.
3. Select function "current consumption"
"L/h" or "gal/h".
Display: 0.0
L/h or 0.0 gal/h

4. Select function "average consumption",
"Ø L/100 km" or "Ø m/gal".
Press
start button.
Display:-

If
the start button is not pressed, the average consumption for the last journey
is displayed.

"Ø km/h" or "Ø m/h".

start button.
Display: 0

the start button is not pressed, the average speed for the last journey is
displayed.

Display: 0 to approx. 1000 km or 0 to approx. 600
miles
(depending
on fuel in tank and consumption for last journey)

1. Press sequence button.
Display: Time
is displayed.
2. Select function "current consumption"
"L/h" or "gal/h".
Display: Actual consumption in L/h or gal/h.
3. Select function "average consumption"
"L/100 km" or "m/gal".
Press
start button.
Display: - - - Ø L/100 km or - - -Ø m/gal
If
the start button is not pressed, the average consumption for the last journey
is displayed
4. Select function "average speed", "Ø
km/h" or"m/h".
Press
start button.
Display: 0 Ø km/h or 0 Ø m/h
If
the start button is not pressed, the average speed for the last journey is
displayed.
5. Select function "range" "km"
or "m".
Display: 0 to approx. 1000 km or 0 to approx. 600 m
(dependent on fuel in tank and consumption on last journey)
6. Select function "stopwatch"
"min".
Display: Any time desired
7. Select function "outside temperature"
"°C" or "°F".
Display: -35 °C to 50 °C in 0.5 °C graduations or
-28 °F to 125 °F in 1 °F graduations
(dependent
on ambient temperature)
Note:
If all functions can be
selected, board computer, operating unit, input signals and connecting lead are
in order.
If functions and displays
selected do not operate, external system must be checked according to procedure
in the operation "Board Computer Sensors, Check". Defective parts are
to be replaced.
