Check Control Display Unit, Replace

Remove

Disconnect ground cable from battery.

Pull Check Control display unit with holder out of instrument panel panelling.

Pull out multiple plug lock and pull off multiple plug from Check Control display unit.

Illustration C 0151 shows locking up to MY '90.

Illustration D 3251 shows locking as of MY '90.

Install

Mount and lock multiple plug of instrument panel wiring harness to Check Control display unit.

First fit the retainer in the instrument panel panelling, then push in the check control display unit.

Function Check:

All fault signal lamps are illuminated when ignition is on approx. 4 seconds. The control lamp for the brake lamp does not go off until the brake pedal is depressed. (= illumination of the brake lamp).
