Pinch Guard

 

a) Up to MY '93

     The pinch guard is effective when the window is open from 200 mm to 4 mm/8 in. to 0.16 in.

 

 

     If the window meets an obstruction inside the upper zone (from 200 mm to 4 mm/8 in. to 0.16 in.) when closing automatically, it automatically opens by at least approx. 40 mm/1.5 in., if it .

 

 

     The pinch guard can be switched off.

 

 

     If the window meets an obstruction inside the upper zone (from 200 mm to 4 mm/8 in. to 0.16 in.) when closing automatically with the pinch guard switched off, the window is blocked.

     The motor switches off after approx. 1 second.

 

 

b) As of MY '94

     The pinch guard is effective in the zone in which a cylindrical object (e.g. plastic pipe) with a diameter of 4 mm to

     200 mm/0.16 in. to 8 in. fits into the window opening (including the slant to the A pillar).

 

 

     If, when the window starts to close, the window opening is between 4 mm and 200 mm/0.16 in and 8 in., it automatically opens to the position where it was when it started to close, or opens by at least approx. 40 mm/1.5 in., if it meets an obstruction.

 

 

     If, when the window starts to close, the window opening is greater than 200 mm/8 in., it automatically opens the window to 200 mm/8 in., or opens by at least approx. 40 mm/1.5 in., if it meets an obstruction.

 

 

     The pinch guard cannot be switched off.

 

 

·  Deviations in pinch guard:

-    Astra-F

     Up to May 1993 there is no pinch guard for the Astra-F.

     As of May 1993, the function is as described in b).

 

 

-    Astra-F Convertible

     There is no pinch guard for the Astra-F Convertible.

 

 

-    Omega/Carlton and Senator-B:

     For the Omega/Carlton and Senator-B, the pinch guard can be switched off as before.
