Checking Operations  

Brake Disc, Check for Runout  

Set transmission in "neutral" position and remove front wheel.  

Object Number: 616192 Size: DEFAULT  Install, Connect   

Fasten brake disc with two wheel bolts and one approx. 10 mm/0.4 in. thick spacer for each. Attach dial gauge with commercially available magnetic holder as shown in illustration. Apply probe of dial gauge perpendicularly to brake disc approx. 10 mm/0.4 in. from outer edge of brake disc with some pre-tension.  

Object Number: 616197 Size: DEFAULT  Measure   

Permissible lateral runout max. 0.1 mm/0.0039 in.  

Object Number: 616191 Size: DEFAULT  Remove, Disconnect   

Remove gauge with measuring device and wheel bolts and install front wheel. Wheel to wheel hub - 110 Nm / 81 lbf. ft.
