Vehicles with AC:

 

Engine running at idle speed, operating temperature AC switch ON

 

Note:

Vehicle interior should be warm,set thermostat to "COLD", set ventilation to full load;

Compressor switches on automatically;

In some vehicles it is necessary to accelerate briefly or wait for a while until the compressor switches on;

·   Measure voltage:

from:      transmission control unit wiring harness plug Ter. 5

to:          ground, Ter. 31

 

 

less than 0.1 V

 

 

·   Short circuit to voltage

from:      transmission control unit wiring harness plug Ter. 5

to:          relay K 90 Ter. 85

·   Further causes of fault:

     see Air Conditioning Checking Procedures, 01/93.

 

 

·   Ignition ON

·   Measure voltage:

from:      transmission control unit wiring harness plug Ter. 5

to:          ground, Ter. 31

 

 

greater than 11 V

 

 

·   Short circuit to ground

to:          relay K 90 Ter. 85

·   Circuit interruption
