 Remove, Disconnect Attach engine with KM-263-B (or Engine Bridge MKM-883-1). |

Detach vent hose from transmission. Detach fluid line from transmission. As of MY '96 disconnect quick-release connections. Fluid escapes, place collecting basin underneath. Connect lines. Remove engine suspension bracket (front, left) from transmission and remove front frame side member (see illus.). |

Remove, Disconnect Unscrew side cover from transmission (13 bolts, illus. I). Fluid escapes, place collecting basin underneath. 1 guide bush fitted.
 Clean Clean sealing surfaces on cover and transmission
 Install, Connect Bolt side cover on transmission and insert with sealing compound. Bolt side cover (illus. II) on transmission with 13 bolts - 25 Nm / 18.5 lbf. ft. Remove engine bracket (front, left) from transmission and bolt on front frame side member.
 Tighten (Torque)

1) Re-cut threads and insert fastening bolts with locking compound. |

Install, Connect Up to MY '96 - attach fluid lines (dissimilar lengths) - use new hose clamps. Ensure installation position is correct in order to ensure routing of connection hoses is free from kinks and twists. As of MY '96 - connect quick release connector and lock with retaining clip.
Tighten (Torque) Oil line to transmission - 25 Nm / 18 lbf. ft. |
