Note:
Before the ignition is switched
on, a waiting period of at least 12 seconds must have elapsed since the last
time the ignition was switched off, as otherwise the engine control unit does
not send a new request to the immobiliser control unit for the imo signal
(control unit run-on period).

on, the engine control unit requests the imo signal from the immobiliser
control unit and evaluates the received code. TECH 1 shows the display
on the right:
