Removing and installing drum hub, models F 08, F
08 & W5L and F 68
Remove
1. |
Detach rear wheel

Mark position in respect of drum hub
|
• |
Detach dust cap from drum hub.
Note: Non-destructive
removal is not possible!
|

2. |
Remove wheel spindle nut (1)
|
3. |
If necessary, turn back parking brake cable at adjusting nut
(2) on parking brake lever.
Note: If the drum hub
has been worn down, press back with a suitable tool through the
bore (3) to bring the cam over the parking brake lever of the brake
shoe!

Clean drum hub and brake linings
Note: Check all the
moving parts for ease of movement!
|
Install
Important: Use new wheel spindle
nut!
|
5. |
Attach drum hub and attach with new nut
• |
Position drum hub on wheel spindle
|
• |
Tighten wheel spindle nut (1) 175
Nm
|
|
6. |
Fit new dust cap to drum hub
|
7. |
Attach rear wheel 110 Nm
|
8. |
Adjust rear wheel brake
|
|
|
|
