J608100 Thermostat, Remove and Install (Y 17 DTL, without AC, LHD)

1. Open bonnet

2. Drain coolant

• Place collecting basin underneath.
• Remove drain bolt

3. Detach wiring harness bracket

• Unclip wiring harness
• Remove 2 bolts

4. Detach upper coolant hose From thermostat housing cover Loosen hose clamp (1)

5. Remove thermostat

• Detach thermostat housing cover (2)
• Remove 2 bolts
• Remove thermostat.

6. Clean sealing surfaces

7. Install thermostat

• Insert thermostat
• Attach thermostat housing cover
• Replace gasket
• Tighten 2 bolts (23.5 Nm/17.3 lbf. ft.)

8. Attach upper coolant hose

• Fasten hose clamp

9. Install wiring harness bracket

• Tighten 2 bolts
• Attach wiring harness

10. Close coolant drain bolt

11. Top up coolant

• Note! Top up and bleed cooling system – see operation "Top up and bleed cooling system"
• Observe specified coolant quantity

12. Close bonnet
