J472200 Engine Damping Block, Replace (Left) (Y 17
DTL, without AC, LHD)
Note: KM-6394 must be used from model year 04 instead of
KM-6169-1 .

1. Open bonnet
|
|
2. Remove coolant compensation tank
- Detach retaining clip
- Unclip coolant hoses
- Set coolant compensation tank to one side
3. Raise vehicle
4. Detach ribbed V-belt cover
- Remove 3 bolts (1)
- Remove clip (arrow).

5. Attach KM-6169 (1)
- Place left of KM-6169 onto front axle body (arrows, illus.
I)
- Note! Guide pin must be seated in bore in front axle body
- Attach both right holders on the front axle body (arrows,
Illus. II).
- Note! Guide pin must be seated in bore in front axle body
(arrow, Illus. III)
- Tighten bolts

6. Install support
- To KM-6169
- Adjust bracket (2) for support
- Screw on nut (1)
|
|
7. Adjust support
- Transmission side
- Note! Turn spindles until the mounts (3) are positioned at the
guide journals free of play
- Engine timing side
- Insert journal of the support in the bore of the cylinder block
without play (arrow)
- Tighten nuts (1)
|
8. Lower vehicle
|
|
9. Remove left engine damping block
|
10. Remove transmission holder
|
|
11. Raise vehicle
12. Remove left engine damping
block
- Remove 4 bolts
- Unclip clutch pressure line (1)
- Remove left engine damping block
13. Remove transmission holder
|
14. Remove left engine damping block
adapter
|
|
15. Install left engine damping block
adapter
- Tighten bolt (80 Nm / 59 lbf. ft. + 45° + 15°)
16. Insert transmission holder
17. Install left engine damping
block
- Tighten 4 bolts (25 Nm / 18 lbf. ft.)
- To side member
- Clip in clutch pressure line
18. Lower vehicle
19. Install transmission holder
- Tighten bolts (60 Nm / 44.5 lbf. ft.)
20. Install left engine damping
block
- Tighten 2 bolts (55 Nm / 40.6 lbf. ft.)
21. Attach coolant compensation
tank
- Attach retaining clip
- Clip in coolant hoses
22. Raise vehicle
23. Detach support
24. Detach KM-6169
25. Detach ribbed V-belt cover
- Tighten bolts
- Install clip
26. Lower vehicle
27. Close bonnet
