Check oil pump

  Measure

Note:   Oil pump / timing case are removed

  Remove

1.   Detach oil intake pipe (3) •   Unscrew 2 bolts (1) •   Remove gasket (2)

2.   Remove oil pump cover (2) •   Unscrew 5 bolts (1) •   Remove inner and outer rotors (3) and (4) •   Inspect components

3.   Check pump module •   Insert inner and outer rotors •   (I) Check radial clearance between oil pump housing and outer rotor with feeler gauge – The permissible clearance is 0.10 – 0.23 mm •   (II) Check axial clearance between oil pump cover and top of toothed wheel with a straight edge and a feeler gauge – The permissible clearance is 0.050 – 0.075 mm
