Replace differential gear (F13/F13 MTA/F17/F17
new/F17+/F17+ MTA)
 Remove

Remove lower engine compartment cover

With "ECO" model variant
|
|
| 2. |
Remove axle shafts
Note: Axle shafts
remain in wheel hub.
| • |
Suspend axle shafts from vehicle underbody
|
|
| 3. |
Remove differential gear cover from transmission
|
| 5. |
Mark position of bearing ring (1) in relation to differential
housing (arrow)
|
| 6. |
Remove retaining plate (2) from bearing ring
|
| 7. |
Remove bearing ring with KM-447
(3)
|
| 8. |
Remove differential gear from differential housing from
below
|
|
|
Install
| 9. |
Install differential gear into differential housing from
below
|
| 10. |
Apply multi-purpose grease tothread and new O-ring (1) of
bearing ring (2)
|
| 11. |
Screw bearing ring into transmission housing with KM-447
Note: Align bearing
race with marking previously made.
|
| 12. |
Attach lower engine compartment cover
| • |
With "ECO" model variant
|

| 13. |
Check play of differential gear tapered roller bearing
|
|
|
| 15. |
Fit differential gear cover to transmission
|
| 17. |
Top up transmission fluid and check transmission fluid level at
checking bolt
|
|
