Replace shift guide assembly (F13/F17/F17
new/F17+)
 Remove
| 1. |
Detach lower engine compartment cover
Note: If present
|
| 2. |
Disconnect shift rod from shift guide
| • |
Release bolt (1) for relay point clamp
Note: Do not remove
bolt.
|
| • |
Push shift rod to the rear
|
|
| 3. |
Remove retaining clamps (2) and (3) from shift rocker arm
|
| 4. |
Pull shift rocker arm from shift guide bracket
|
| 5. |
Detach universal joint from shift rod
| • |
Press in retaining spring (arrow) of the hollow pin
|
| • |
Prise out hollow pin with KM-569-A
|
|
| 6. |
Remove shift rocker arm with shift guide
|
|
|
Install
| 7. |
Insert shift rocker arm with shift guide
|
| 8. |
Install universal joint on shift rod
| • |
Secure cross-joint with new hollow pin
Note: Retaining spring
of hollow pin must engage.
|
|
| 9. |
Attach shift rocker arm
| • |
Place shift rocker arm onto shift guide bracket
|
| • |
Fit new retaining clamps
|
|
| 10. |
Slide shift guide onto shift rod
|
| 11. |
Transmission Shift Linkage, Adjust 
|
| 12. |
Fasten clamping screw
| • |
Tighten bolt 12 Nm + 225°
|
|
| 13. |
Attach lower engine compartment cover
Note: If present.
|
| 14. |
Check ease of gear shifting
|
|
