Receiver / Remote Control Unit, Remove and Install

 Remove
| 1. |
Remove glove compartment
|
| 2. |
Remove A-pillar inner panelling, passenger's side 
|
| 3. |
Remove panel for driver's side storage compartment
|
| 4. |
Expose antenna for remote control receiver/control unit
| • |
Remove self-adhesive foam (1) and antenna (3)
|
| • |
Remove self-adhesive foam (4) and antenna (3)
|
| • |
Attach separate cable to the end (2) of the remote control
receiver antenna with insulating tape
|
|
|
|

Remove remote control receiver/control unit
| • |
Slightly pull remote control receiver/control unit (1)
outwards
|
| • |
Unlatch and disconnect 1x wiring harness plug on remote control
receiver/control unit
|
| • |
Carefully pull antenna for remote control receiver/control unit
through the instrument panel - guide separately attached cable
after it
|
| • |
Disconnect the separately attached cable from the antenna for
the remote control receiver/control unit again
|
|
|
|
Install
| 6. |
Install the remote control receiver/control unit
| • |
Attach separate cable to the end of the new antenna for the
remote control receiver / control unit with insulating tape
|
| • |
Carefully pull the new antenna for the remote control
receiver/control unit, together with separately attached cable,
through the instrument panel as far as the A-pillar - guide
separately attached cable through after it
|
| • |
Connect 1x wiring harness plug to remote control
receiver/control unit and latch
|
| • |
Insert remote control receiver / control unit and screw in 2x
bolts
|
|
| 7. |
Route antenna for remote control receiver/control unit
| • |
Disconnect the separately attached cable from the new antenna
for the remote control receiver/control unit again
|
| • |
Route antenna for remote control receiver/control unit
|
| • |
Secure the antenna for the remote control receiver / control
unit back in place with self-adhesive foam
|
|
| 8. |
Install panel for driver's side storage compartment
|
| 9. |
Install A-pillar inner panelling, passenger's side
|
| 10. |
Install glove compartment
|
|
