Replace front body wiring harness (up to model year 2011.5)
Replacing the Front Body Wiring Harness
Important: Replace
or repair wiring harnesses observing the safety regulations of
electrics/electronics.
Note: From MY 2008,
the Service Division is only offering the front wiring harness in
conjunction with the engine compartment electronics module.
Remove
1.
Disconnect battery
2.
Detach front panelling
3.
Remove battery tray
4.
Remove bulkhead closing part
5.
Detach engine compartment electronics module
•
Open cover Note: Pay attention to
removal notice on cover
•
Release wiring harness plug (1) and disconnect
•
Unscrew nut (2)
•
3x unclip (arrows)
6.
Remove front body wiring harness in conjunction with engine
compartment electronics module Note: The illustration
shows the vehicle without attaching parts for a clearer
representation.
Install
7.
Install front body wiring harness in conjunction with engine
compartment electronics module
•
Tighten nut for engine compartment electronics module 8 Nm
