Glow Check
After removal, connect sheathed glow plugs to 6 V
supply (e.g. battery charger).
For this, connect one lead to the plug casing and the other
to the connection thread of the plug.
With faultless sheathed glow plugs the sheathed glow element
becomes warm and glows in the forward region.
Important:
The glow check may only be carried out for a short period
(until glow area is recognizable), in order to exclude the possibility of
damage to the sheathed glow plug.
Install sheathed glow plug.
Prescribed torque: 20 Nm/15 lbf. ft.
