Exhaust Manifold, Install

Clean sealing surfaces at exhaust manifold, cylinder head, lower coolant hose connection and cylinder block (mating faces of lower coolant hose connection).

Fit new gaskets for exhaust manifold and lower coolant hose connection.

Bolt exhaust manifold with turbocharger and water pipes onto cylinder head.

Prescribed torque:      25 Nm/18 lbf. ft.

Fit new seal to water pipe, press lower coolant hose connection onto water pipe and bolt onto cylinder block.

Bolt turbocharger support onto cylinder block.

Screw oil pressure line onto turbocharger and cylinder block and fit oil return line.

Use new seal rings.

Bolt water pipe bracket onto cylinder head, attach hose to thermostat housing and fasten hose clamp.

Bolt heat shield onto exhaust manifold.

Bolt front exhaust pipe onto turbocharger connection.

Prescribed torque:      70 Nm/52 lbf. ft.

Attach heat shield to turbocharger.

Bolt charge air pipe with new seal onto air cleaner housing and fasten hose clamp on turbocharger.

Fit air intake hose.

Install radiator.
