Airbag Unit – Driver's Side, Remove and
Install (up to Model Year '96)
Caution
Disconnect battery and wait 1 minute until the capacitor has
discharged.

 Remove
|
Steering wheel from centre position (1) 90° to the right
(2),
|
|
detach airbag unit bolts at back of steering wheel –
MKM-604-29.
|
|
Turn steering wheel back 180° (3), detach second bolt on
airbag unit.
|
|
Steering wheel in centre position (4), carefully lift airbag
unit,
|
|
disconnect wiring harness plug from inflator.
|
|
Airbag unit
|
|
|
Install
|
Airbag unit – tightening torque 8 Nm / 6 lbf. ft.
|
