·   Disconnect ABS - 2SH control unit U 4.8, Motronic M 2.8.1 control unit K 61 and AT control unit K 85 (if present) from wiring harness

·   Using multimeter, check from ABS - 2SH control unit plug U 4.8 / X 25P / Ter. 5 to

     - Motronic M 2.8.1 control unit K 61 / Ter. 54

     - AT control unit K 85 / Ter. 55 (if present)

·   Short circuit or lead interruption from ABS - 2SH control unit U 4.8 / X 25P / Ter. 5 to
