Notes for Trouble - shooting:

Cause of Fault:

·   Disconnect ABS - 2SH control unit U 4.8, Motronic M 2.8.1 control unit K 61 and automatic transmission control unit K 85 (if present) from wiring harness

·   Using multimeter, check from ABS - 2SH control unit plug U 4.8 / X 25P / Ter. 3 to

     - tachometer P 7 / Ter. 22

     - Motronic M 2.8.1 control unit K 61 / Ter. 43

     - automatic transmission control unit K 85 / Ter. 11

     for passage

·   Plug connection X 1 / Ter. 92 defective

·   Short circuit or lead interruption from ABS - 2SH control unit U 4.8 / X 25P / Ter. 3 to

     - tachometer P 7

     - Motronic M 2.8.1 control unit K 61 / Ter. 43

     - AT control unit K 85 / Ter. 11 (if present)

·   AT control unit K 85 defective (if present)

·   Motronic M 2.8.1 control unit K 61 defective

·   Control unit U 4.8 defective
