Starter, Disassemble and Assemble

 Remove
Remove fastening bolts (1) for starter switch, fastening nut (2)
from field winding connection, starter switch from housing.
|
|
|
Remove fastening nuts (1) from cover cap, fastening bolts (2)
from brush holder, cover cap (3) from coil housing. Remove brush
holder (4) carefully from rotor shaft.
Note: During removal
of brush holder, two carbon brushes remain at the coil.

Remove
Remove armature (1) from coil, coil (2) from housing lower part,
insulation hoses from stud bolts, stud bolts from planetary
gear.

|
|
Remove
Remove fastening bolt (1) for release lever from housing lower
part.
|
|
|
Remove
Drive shaft assembly (1) with copper drift from housing lower
part, remove planetary gear (2) from drive shaft assembly.
Install
Attach planetary gear to drive shaft assembly, insert drive
shaft assembly in lower part of housing, install fastening bolt for
release lever in lower part of housing.

Install
Install stud bolts (1) at planetary gear (2), slide insulation
hoses onto stud bolts, install coil (4) at housing lower part,
install rotor (3) in coil.

|
|
Connect brush holder (1) to rotor shaft (2). Install cover cap
at coil housing, fastening bolt at brush holder, fastening nuts at
cover cap.

|
Install
Install starter switch in housing. Attach fastening nut (2) to
field winding connection and fastening bolts (1) to starter
switch.
